At My Story Tech Teknoloji Ltd, we strive to provide the best possible experience with our AI-powered story generation service. This Refund Policy explains the conditions under which refunds may be issued and your rights as a customer.

1 Digital Content Services

Important Information About Digital Content

Our service provides digital content (AI-generated personalized storybooks) that is delivered instantly upon purchase. Due to the nature of digital content services, special conditions apply to refunds.

Digital Content Notice

Once you consent to the immediate provision of our digital service and the service has begun (story generation starts), the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under consumer protection laws no longer applies, as permitted by EU Consumer Rights Directive Article 16(m) and Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, Article 15.

2 When Refunds May Be Issued

We may issue refunds in the following circumstances:

Technical Failure

If our service fails to generate your story due to a technical error on our end and we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable timeframe.

Duplicate Charges

If you were accidentally charged multiple times for the same purchase, we will refund the duplicate charges.

Service Not Delivered

If you paid for a service that was never delivered and we cannot fulfill the order.

Subscription Cancellation

If you cancel your subscription before using any services in the current billing period, you may be eligible for a prorated refund at our discretion.

3 When Refunds Cannot Be Issued

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • After a story has been successfully generated and delivered to you.
  • For subjective dissatisfaction with the AI-generated content (style preferences, creative choices).
  • If you provided incorrect information that affected the story outcome.
  • For unused subscription credits after the subscription period has ended.
  • If you violated our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.

4 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

Include your order number, email address, and a detailed explanation of why you are requesting a refund.

Our team will review your request and respond within 3-5 business days.

If approved, refunds will be processed to your original payment method.

5 Refund Processing Times

Once a refund is approved, processing times vary by payment method:

Payment Method Refund Processing Times
Credit/Debit Cards 5-10 business days to reflect in your account.
PayPal 3-5 business days to reflect in your account.
Bank Transfer 5-14 business days depending on your bank.

Please note that your bank or card issuer may have additional processing times beyond our control.

6 Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving any issues fairly and promptly. Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in delays and additional fees. If a chargeback is found to be fraudulent or in violation of this policy, we reserve the right to take appropriate action, including suspending your account.

7 Subscription Cancellations

For subscription services:

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • You will retain access to the service until the end of the paid period.
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period, except where required by law.

8 Printed Products

For printed storybooks:

  • Refunds or reprints may be provided if the printed product arrives damaged or with printing defects.
  • You must report any issues within 7 days of receiving your order with photographic evidence.
  • We reserve the right to request return of the defective product before issuing a refund or replacement.
  • Refunds will not be provided for damage caused by the customer after delivery.
